Dear Mountain View Families,
Thanks to the passage of the Adams 12 Five Star Schools 2016 Bond Program, we are about to begin the important work that will lead to some exciting changes at our school including important renovation work, upgrades to our building’s infrastructure and mechanical systems as well as security enhancements.
The district selected an architectural firm earlier this spring, and we are pleased to announce that these planned improvements have now officially entered the design phase. The architect, along with our school staff and appointed Design Advisory Group, has begun to develop the plan for the renovation work that will occur at our school. The Design Advisory Group is a small group of school staff members, parents and community members who help the architectural team define the scope of proposed renovations. DAG members, as users of the facility, provide criticalfeedback and input that help the architects design changes that meet user needs.
The design work will take approximately three months to complete, and we anticipate major construction starting Summer 2018. If all goes well, these improvements should be completed in time for the start of the 2018-19 school year!
