In Mrs. Hasselfeldt’s classroom you will find students working diligently to develop their math and literacy skills. We work in small groups supporting academic advancement. We use the Number Worlds Math Intervention curriculum which has a strong grounding in the development of number sense and math communication skills. Students are learning to explain and defend their mathematical thinking to others. Many groups of students meet to strengthen literacy skills as well. Some students are focusing on letter-sound associations while others have progressed to concentrating their efforts on reading comprehension skills and fluency. Our classroom is a calm and comfortable space where students are able to build their academic confidence and skills through a multi-sensory teaching approach. Please feel free to contact the school for additional information.
