Specials

We are so excited to welcome your child to specials here at Mountain View. It should prove to be a year full of fun, learning and a lot of new, challenging experiences. We uphold high expectations for all of our students to ensure they reach their full potential. 

The focus in Art is to experiment, explore, problem solve and investigate art materials and techniques. Students will have opportunities to experiment and explore a variety of tools, materials, and processes as they learn about different artists.

In PE, students will develop physical literacy gradually through a variety of structured and unstructured activities. Students will learn how to work as a team, model kindness and respect, take risks, make mistakes, embrace struggle and develop the confidence to enjoy a lifetime of movement and adventure. 

In Music specials, students will experiment with playing new instruments, singing alone and with others, and actively listening to music from a variety of places. The goal is to nurture students’ creativity and encourage them to interact with music in their daily lives.
