2024 Bond Program, Investing in Student Success

Mountain View Elementary Bond Projects

Mountain View Elementary is slated to receive a wide range of improvements through the 2024 bond, with between $3.5 million and $4.2 million in planned projects.

Inside the building, classrooms and shared spaces will be refreshed with new furniture and finishes, which will create more flexible learning spaces. Several classrooms will have cabinetry replaced, and existing modular partitions will be replaced with permanent walls. Building systems will be modernized with updated heating and cooling equipment, upgraded electrical components and new water supply infrastructure.

Bond funds will also go toward enhancing school safety. Safety upgrades include a new fire alarm system, classroom door locks, exterior door sensors, intercom improvements and stronger cell coverage. Connectivity will also be enhanced with upgraded Wi-Fi and network cabling.

Outside the building, bond funds will support repairs to parking areas and asphalt play surfaces, along with masonry improvements to the school’s exterior. In all, these investments will help create a more welcoming and comfortable campus for students, staff and community members.

Projected construction budget:

$3.5 million to $4.2 million
