Bighorn Bulletin: Weekly Update

Date: 9/14/2026

A Few Important Reminders for Our Mountain View Families

There is a lot of important information in this week’s newsletter, so please take a few minutes to read through it carefully. In particular, you’ll find important details about our Miles for Mountain View Fun Run on October 2. We are so excited for this special event and hope as many of our students and families as possible will be able to participate! Your support and enthusiasm help make events like this such a wonderful part of our Mountain View community.

We also know there are a lot of illnesses going around right now. Please take a moment to review our When is sick too sick for school information so we can work together to keep our students and staff healthy and learning.

A Few Arrival Reminders: Please help your child start their day successfully by arriving on time. Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:40 a.m. Students who are eating breakfast may arrive as early as 7:27 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 7:50 a.m. Arriving with enough time to get settled and ready to learn makes a big difference in starting the day on a positive note.

Safety Reminder: For the safety of our students, families, and staff, U-turns in front of the school are absolutely not permitted. We know arrival and dismissal can be busy, but please follow the traffic flow and continue around the block rather than making a U-turn. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

Finally, a quick reminder as the weather begins to change: please label your child’s clothing and water bottle with their first and last name. Our mornings can be quite cool, while temperatures warm up significantly by lunch recess. We are already seeing quite a collection of sweatshirts and water bottles in our lost and found!

Thank you for taking the time to stay informed, support our school, and help us keep Mountain View a healthy, connected, and joyful place for all of our students. Together We Climb!

I want to give a huge shout out to our PTO for the refrigerator they acquired for our teacher’s lounge.  Krista Allen reached out to our community and found a donor.  Apryl Delclos donated the refrigerator and Lucas Allen delivered it to Mountain View ( which was a little more challenging than anyone anticipated).  Thank you all so much! We appreciate you.
