Parent Teacher Organization
The Mountain View Elementary PTO:
- Identifies school needs.
- Promotes opportunities for students through membership, volunteer participation, and fundraising activities.
- Fosters a closer relationship between the home and the school, which allows parents and teachers to cooperate effectively in the education of children.
Membership
Membership in the MVES PTO is automatic to parents and/or guardians of Mountain View Elementary School students. All Mountain View Elementary School teachers and staff are members of the PTO.
PTO Meetings
PTO meetings are held in the Mountain View Elementary School cafeteria on the second Tuesday of every month during the school year. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and typically last one hour. Attending PTO meetings are a great way to get involved, share your ideas, and find out what's going on at Mountain View! Free child care is provided on the premises.
Special Events
The PTO sponsors events throughout the year such as Wonderful World of Exploration, Dine Out with Mountain View, Mountain View Night at Skate City, and Family Movie Nights. Check out the PTO calendar and our announcements page, so you always know what's going on.
Fundraising
The PTO coordinates one major fundraising activity each year as well as several community-building activities and smaller fundraising efforts.
