I have been teaching students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing (DHH) at Mountain View for 19 years, and I absolutely love my job! I co-teach in the DHH preschool classroom, as well as provide support for the mainstream DHH kindergarten students in Mrs. Kort's regular education classroom. I am also one of the directors of Signing Choir (see the Signing Choir page for more details). I grew up in Pittsburgh, and earned a BA in Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh. I promptly moved to Colorado to attend graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado and fell in love with this beautiful state! I earned my MA in Deaf Education in 2002, and began my teaching career at Mountain View. I am very fortunate to work in a great school, with incredible educators, and amazing families. I am also a certified Pilates instructor and a volunteer coach for our Girls Run the World program. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, Pilates, yoga, running, dancing, snowboarding, kayaking, photography, laughing with friends, and spending time with my husband and two children (ages 14 and 16).
