Hi! I am one of the DHH teachers at Mountain View, working with self-contained/resource DHH kids 3-5th grade. This will be my 21st year as Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. I started out as itinerant in Fort Morgan, then self-contained in upper elementary in Des Moines, IA. I moved back to Colorado and worked in self-contained classrooms/resource in Everitt Middle and Jefferson High (later Wheat Ridge High) in Jeffco. For a short time, I sign language interpreted in community colleges and Video Interpreted. I have occasionally interpreted at community colleges in the summers since then. I’ve also interpreted lots of concerts. Most recently I went back to teaching and was itinerant in St. Vrain Valley Schools, mostly in Longmont, before coming to Mountain View Elementary.
More personally, I was born in Sweden and my family moved to Massachusetts when I was 2, then Colorado when I was 6. So, I’ve been in Colorado most of my life. I'm married and we have two lovely grown children, two rambunctious dogs, and two adorable cats. I love writing and reading books, drawing, singing, and riding my bike.
