I am so delighted to be a teacher at Mountain View. I have been teaching for twelve years. Throughout my time in teaching I have come to develop and live some beliefs, I strive for this with my students everyday: Create an environment where students know that I am invested in their education and in them. I endeavor to create a community where learning for all can take place through cooperation and successful communication. The most valuable way to learn is in cooperating with each other and learning to express and listen to each other. This is at the heart of our classroom community.
I am a product of Adams 12 and graduated from Northglenn High School (Go Norsemen!) I went to Regis University for my undergraduate and graduate studies both focusing in the area of teaching. I am married to a wonderful man with one delightful kindergartner. When I'm not teaching you can find me working in my garden, reading or spending time with my family. The family loves getting together to watch the Broncos in the fall and spending time on the patio in the summer.
I look forward to getting to know your second graders as people and building a great learning community with your second grader too.
"There are no insignificant acts of kindness, no forgotten words of encouragement, no meaningless hugs of congratulation. Long after students have forgotten day to day lessons, they remember who you are and what you stood for and how you treated them."
