I have been teaching students who are Deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) for 15 years. I grew up outside of Chicago, and then my family moved to Colorado when I was in highschool. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Deaf Education both from the University of Northern Colorado. I taught at a private school for Deaf/hard of hearing students in Seattle, WA for 5 years before moving back to Colorado. This is my 14th year at Mountain View as a Deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) teacher and my 8th year in the D/HH preschool with Mrs. Harris. I feel so blessed to be working at such an incredible school in a unique program with dedicated and talented teachers and such caring families. When I am not at work, I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, skiing, and taking bike rides with my husband and 2 daughters (ages 13 and 16).
