I have been teaching students who are Deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) for 2 years. I grew up outside of Chicago, and then my family moved to Colorado when I was in highschool. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education/English and an MA in Deaf Education both from the University of Northern Colorado. I taught at a private school for Deaf/hard of hearing students in Seattle, WA for 5 years before moving back to Colorado. This will be my 16th year at Mountain View as a Deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) teacher and my 10th year in the D/HH preschool with Mrs. Harris. I feel so blessed to be working at such an incredible school in a unique program with dedicated and talented teachers and such caring families. When I am not at work, I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, skiing, and taking bike rides with my husband (Andy) and 2 daughters (Alex-15 and Jaime-18). We are embarking on a new phase of life with our oldest daughter heading off to college for her first year at the University of Wyoming!
